Old mountain heart,
Of rivulet misted gulf,
And standing stone in lichen mystery
At mossy glades’ edge,
Nestled in tall whispering trees
Watched over in owl flight silence,
Amongst the tendrils of heavenly fire.
You turn me,
Return me, gaze into me,
Lift me in your song,
As I see such freshness
In your ancient face,
Where life and death
Recreate each day and night
In complete perfection.
Wrapped in your mystical power
that births transformation
to new wonder, new seeing,
I am clear
to be the sacred dance
that guides the
wisdom of your expression,
to breathe into this moment,
and fulfill the promise of me,
dream bundled
in your medicine journey.
Old mountain heart,
Of painted rock scree,
And tumbling whitewater chasm,
Piercing the dark and deep
Woodland spirit,
Dwelling in a patience
That guards time with
Nectar drinking butterfly in silken silence,
And salamander old log hollow breathing,
And bobcat clifftop watching.
I meet you in your secret,
Your roar,
Your whisper,
Your dark, your light,
And the heartbeat we share
In this sacred circle of love.
